The New Parent Support program offers guidance, education, and support to our Marines, their families throughout our military community. Eligible participants can access resources provided by the New Parent Support program.

• Parents with children ages 0-5
• DoD Spouses
• DoD Families

1. Schedule an Appointment: Contact the New Parent Support office and speak to a team member about scheduling an appointment.
    
2. Initial Consultation: This meeting will help assess your needs and determine the best support services for your family.
    
3. Register for classes and workshops: Following your initial consultation you and the clinician will identify appropriate services.

Workshop & Classes

New Parent Support offers a variety of parenting classes to help new parents develop the skills and confidence needed to care for their children.

Parents as Teachers
Whether you are going through stress, adjusting to parenting, feeling overwhelmed, or dealing with pregnancy or postpartum depression/anxiety; we are here to help you connect with other parents, talk about your experiences, and learn helpful tools using the Parent as Teachers curriculum. Come join this support group for parents, expecting parents, and their children 0-18 months of age.

Parent Connections
Join the monthly parenting workshop designed to help parents deepen their connection to their children, empower parents, and foster self-love, responsibility, resiliency, and self-esteem. Topics discussed include but are not limited to child development, stress management, positive discipline, and communication.

Parents in Uniform
There are many challenges associated with being a military parent. This small group-based class is offered to moms and dads at any stage of pregnancy. Home visitors will educate parents to be on Marine Corps policies including housing information, legal requirements, on-island childcare options and other family readiness issues.

Not all classes are available at all locations.

Breastfeeding Support Group

The New Parent Support program provides breastfeeding support and resources to new and expecting mothers. We understand that breastfeeding can be both rewarding and challenging, and our goal is to ensure that every mother has the guidance and encouragement she needs during this important time.

Both expectant mothers and fathers are invited to attend. This support group provides both practical advice and emotional encouragement for breastfeeding mothers.
