Towel Museum & Imabari Castle Trip
Visit the world’s first museum dedicated to the art of towel manufacturing! This unique museum offers much to see, including intricate traditional towels, works of art made from towels, and an exhibition on the towel-making process.
Next, explore Imabari Castle, once Japan’s largest sea castle, surrounded by triple moats and featuring a strong boat entrance (harbor). The castle interior now houses a museum, and from the observation deck atop the castle tower, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea. Another highlight is the massive moat, where seawater flows in and out, allowing fish to migrate freely.
