Military Community Music Festival

In addition to being Month of the Military Child, April is also Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. To honor military families and raise awareness of Child Abuse Prevention, MCCS Family Advocacy and Prevention will host a Military Community Music Festival on Saturday, April 25, from noon to 5 p.m. at Camp Foster’s Ocean Breeze parking lot.

This year’s event will feature musical and dance performances, a treasure hunt with community partners, military static displays, a K-9 exhibition, carnival games, and food trucks courtesy of our community partners. MCCS Family Advocacy and Prevention will also provide military families with peer support and tools to help them on their parenting journey.

Globe & Anchor will host the musical and dance performances, with the treasure hunt located in the foyer and Southern Breeze Conference Room. A calming room for children with sensory needs will be available in Chesty’s, hosted by the Exceptional Family Member Program.

Between performances, the P&E Team will provide Child Abuse Prevention information and conduct prize drawings throughout the event.

This is an open community event for SOFA members and their families. The Military Community Music Festival honors military parents and children with live music, family activities, carnival games, static displays, community resources, and more.
